Although we are called 'Maryborough' News, we do make sure to cover surrounding towns such as Alma, Amphitheatre, Avoca, Bealiba, Bowenvale, Carisbrook, Castlemaine, Clunes, Daisy Hill, Dunolly, Flagstaff, Laanecoorie, Majorca, Maldon, Natte Yallock, Newstead, Red Lion, Talbot and Timor.
The staff at Maryborough News also appreciate the importance of locals having an opportunity to speak out and voice their thoughts on a public forum. Commenting on posts is therefore both welcome and encouraged. We also endorse a no censorship policy for our comments system.
Readers are also free to post their own news, thoughts, events or promotions directly to the page's timeline for others to read and interact with. To encourage this kind of discussion, the default landing page displays all postings, not just those of the Maryborough News staff.
